Let’s be completely honest, what are the odds any of those futures amount to anything close to the impact of Timo Meier. I say not likely. - Ryan_Wilson
This is why San Jose would not be interested. |

He's a pipedream for the Pens IMO hahaha
So ROR is injured right now but expected back in 4 to 6 weeks...somewhat of a down season for him but still has 10 goals and is a UFA. His underlying are a bit down this season but relative to the rest of his team he is top 5 or 6 in all of them. The Blues are in danger of missing playoffs. I like the idea of him for 3C for the Pens. They would have to retain 50%. I would imagine a few teams will be kicking the tires on him.
Your thoughts? |

I agree....and didnt say anything about depth...however, it still shows they have more guys scoring 10+ goals than most other teams in the league....how many guys outside the top 6's on these other teams have 10+, I wonder...
EDIT:
Bruins: 2
Jersey: 1 (Hamilton on D)
St Louis: 1
Buffalo: 1 (Dahlin on D)
So the Pens with 1 outside of top 6 is kinda in line here. If Letang and Petry had full seasons they'd probably have more goals/production. - MattStrat
Oh I know, it was more of a reference to NHL networks "Love to see that scoring depth 💪" when they posted that pic.
But your post proves the top 6 ain't the issue lol

JvR (50%) for Kap+3rd - j.boyd919
Just the 3rd would work. No need for Kappy in a JVR deal. |

GMJR would have already made this trade. Probably would have included Pettersson or someone to make us question the move overall.....but probably would have made the trade nonetheless. |

Funny how everyone loved Hextall for not being aggressive, now everyone hates him for not being aggressive. |

One very simple change to the pens forwards could be play McGinn more than any other bottom 6. Not sure how he starts the season like he did and then the coach just dwindles his ice time away. |

Can't have McGinn outproduce Zucker. That would make Sullivan look bad.

Petry activated, Letang and Rutta on LTIR. Not a big deal for Letang, he's been out a while already. Doesn't look good for Rutta though. On the bright side, it gives Smith more time to show what his abilities are.

Someone really just needs to pull the plug on Kaps NHL career. But that makes Hextall and Sullivan look bad. It’s not like you can’t live on AHL or European pro money. |

According to DK's site, there's absolutely no trade talks going on with Hextall. |
